This activity is jointly provided by Medical Education Resources and the Southeastern Consortium for Dermatology Meeting.

Target Audience: Dermatologists and NPs/RNs/Pas and residents/fellows in the field of dermatology.

Educational Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Evaluate and manage pruritus in various dermatologic patient populations
  • Treat an ethnically diverse patient base with more confidence, knowledge and understanding of the specific differences across ethnicities
  • Address the dermatological needs of an underserved and vulnerable population
  • Recognize and manage rare conditions based on exposure to a wide range of “real-life” cases

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of Medical Education Resources (MER) and Southeastern Consortium .  MER is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)

Medical Education Resources designates this live activity for a maximum of approximately 11 ANCC nursing contact hours.  Nurses will be awarded contact hours upon successful completion of the activity.

American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)

The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) Certification Board recognizes and accepts continuing education (CE) approximately 11 contact hours from activities approved by AMA, ACCME, ANCC, AANP, AAFP and AACN.

Physician Assistant Credit Designation

American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA)
Medical Education Resources has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria.
